Department of Justice Systems Technical Expert
In the recent DOJ customs case on an imported automotive component, our team was tasked with a comprehensive review of the engineering requirements and design documents. This review was crucial to ensure compliance with both domestic and international standards. DDI meticulously focused on the functionality, architecture, and design of the component, aiming to identify any discrepancies or areas for improvement.
DDI's analysis extended to two major multi-year architectural and design component layouts. These layouts provided a detailed roadmap of the component's evolution and highlighted significant design changes over time. By comparing these layouts, DDI was able to pinpoint critical design decisions and their impact on the component's performance and compliance.
Furthermore, we reviewed depositions against analysis findings to validate our conclusions. This step was essential to corroborate the testimonies provided during the case with our technical analysis. The alignment between the depositions and our findings reinforced the credibility of our review and provided a solid foundation for the case proceedings.
